GENIUS:

Little Tara when barely four years old could paint coloring books, she would voraciously finish one after the other. The colors never spilled out of their designated boundaries. She would sit on her mom’s lap and peruse through big illustrated books of famous artists. She particularly loved Dutch artists, she would excitedly tap at those of images of fruits and flowers. Her parents were elite and could afford many luxuries, they spent a fortune into channeling Tara’s talent for art. She had a personal art tutor and once in a year the whole family including her elder brother would head to an artist’s retreat. By the tender age of ten Tara had been to Giverny Paris, the Louvre museum and couple of other lovely places. Tara’s fondness for art only grew more resolute with the passage of time. Her teachers were very encouraging and happy to have had a talented child such as Tara in the premises of their school. She always had a pencil, pocket sketchbook and couple of sketch pens, the world was her canvas, she started journaling fervently, she would sketch any object, plant, bird, animal in her little book. She soon learnt that time was a precious commodity and didn’t have time to make exact drawings, she learnt how to make skeletal sketches and would later bring her work home and complete her artwork. Sometimes being an artist is associated with a rather waywardness, but Tara thanks to her strict upbringing had inculcated a sense of paramount discipline. Her artwork would begin at the break of dawn in a little corner of her bedroom overlooking the beautiful azure blue sea. Tara’s works continued to receive appreciation, she managed school with artwork. Tara had few friends, her best friends were her canvas and unfathomable imagination, she had no time for leisure, save for an occasional ice-cream treat or birthday party .

With the passage of time, Tara blossomed into a fine artist, she was particularly fond of women artists, drawing inspiration from the likes of Amrita Shergil and Berthe Morisot. All these years though Tara mostly reproduced art, with perfection. She now decided that it was time to forge an identity for herself. She decided to marry art and technology, producing stunning graphic art with the help of an ipad. She was given employment with a leading graphic design firm. She was given free rein in all matters from design concept to production, her creative mind operated only in such an environment, anything that was stifling would inhibit her natural talent. She was touted a “genius” by the French government and like her contemporaries became a well-known woman artist. Tara’s journey though seemingly straight lined did have its share of adversities, her constant association with painting meant weak eyes, overtime her eyesight was failing and she had to get a small operation as well, that didn’t deter her from producing fabulous works. Tara leads a content life choosing quality over quantity, she produces a batch of five stunning paintings a year, along with her digital work. These paintings are usually commissioned work for a charity or a museum.
