TRAVELS FROM YOUR SEAT:

Millennials have two major interests these days, “travel and photography”. Nivedita, loves to travel in fact every 3 months or so, she is off on a new adventure. There is a method to her madness though, she does careful research, reserves hotels in advance and plans her itinerary. She believes in travelling light. She loves to experiment with local jewelry and clothing; hence she never packs her suitcase to the brim. She carries along her camera, ink pen and some essentials.

Nivedita is twenty-five, a graduate in commerce she is careful with her money and is an expert in dealing with currencies from various nationalities. She can spew out the exchange rates of various nations and her friends always await her return to listen to her fascinating stories of faraway lands. Nivedita’s Instagram handle is busy, pictures, postcards and paintings are uploaded at regular intervals. She ensures that she makes friends with locals, who are then dutifully added to her growing list of friends on Instagram. Last few months have been particularly hard for her though, thanks to the onset of COVID. She was getting thoroughly bored, all her travel plans for the year and next had been quashed. Boredom leads to creative ideas, Nivedita struck upon the idea of virtual travel. She decided that if she can’t go out to the world, the world would come to her instead. She was a regular at National Geographic’s photography site. She wondered if she could collaborate with an editor and come up with a series of travel movies which could be rendered as a virtual reality experience. Her enterprising and busy mind immediately cranked into action. She worked tirelessly for a month, constantly networking, brainstorming, ideating and finally came up with a travelogue series in collaboration with a popular VR and travel company. Nivedita, is busy once again, her company is aptly named “TRAVELS FROM YOUR SEAT”. Nivedita now enjoys a steaming mug of coffee, sitting cross legged on her swing whilst enjoying the serene beauty of “PATAGONIA”, the most famous landmark in Argentina.
